The calculators, drug information, growth charts, vaccination schedule and milestone tools on this website and in the Bal Chikitsa app are for education and for support of a qualified practitioner's own decisions. They do not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease, and they are not a substitute for an examination of the child.

For practitioners

Dose results are calculated from classical Ayurvedic dosing principles and published paediatric references, using the age, weight and other values you enter. Wrong input gives wrong output. Always check each dose against your clinical judgment, the child's condition, the formulation and the manufacturer's label before you prescribe. Final responsibility for a prescription is always the practitioner's.

For parents and guardians

Please do not give medicine to a child based only on this website. Consult a qualified doctor or Vaidya first. Children differ widely, and a dose that suits one child may not suit another.

Emergencies

If a child has trouble breathing, a seizure, severe dehydration, a very high fever, is hard to wake, or you are worried for any reason, go to the nearest hospital or call your local emergency number immediately. Do not use this website to decide whether to seek help.
